SURGEON AND MOHEL

BENJAMIN RASKIN M.D.

I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. From a young age, I was fascinated by the intricacies of the human body and knew that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. In 2003, I graduated from the prestigious St. Petersburg State Medical University named after I. P. Pavlov, also known as "Prevyi Med," and was accepted into a highly competitive residency program in general surgery at the Municipal Colorectal Medical Center.

During my residency, I developed a passion for minimally invasive surgery, particularly laparoscopic techniques. In 2005, I made the bold decision to move to Israel to further my training. After passing the qualifying exams, I was accepted into a residency program in general surgery at the renowned Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. Here, I had the opportunity to study in depth the latest advancements in laparoscopic surgery, and I also completed an internship in advanced laparoscopic surgery at the esteemed European Surgical Institute and Eppendorf University Hospital in Hamburg, Germany.

After completing my residency, I gained experience working in various hospitals in Israel, including Assuta Hospital as well as the Ziv Medical Center in Safed and the Laniado Hospital in Netanya. In 2019-2020, I pursued a specialization in bariatric surgery and surgery of the upper gastrointestinal tract at the AZ Sint Jan Hospital in Bruges, Belgium, one of the largest surgical centers in Europe. Here, I honed my skills in performing complex bariatric operations and re-do surgeries.

As a qualified surgeon, I am committed to continuous learning and professional development. I regularly participate in face-to-face and virtual master classes, courses, and conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and modern methods of treatment, in accordance with the recommendations of the world's leading surgical associations.

I consult patients from all health funds and insurance companies at clinics in Netanya and Tel Aviv. Appointment can be scheduled by phone in the “CONTACT” section.
